Turmeric may be the most effective nutritional supplement in existence. Many high quality studies show that it has major benefits for your body and brain. Even if it is so affordable, just a few people can understand its power! I have written here only a few of its benefits but, in my opinion, everyone of us should start to eat it, or, if you don’t like how it tastes – to take supplements from curcumin.

Turmeric Contains Bioactive Compounds With Powerful Medicinal Properties: Turmeric Can Help Prevent (And Perhaps Even Treat) Cancer

This orange-colored spice, a staple in Indian curries, contains a polyphenol called curcumin that has been found to be useful in reducing cancer risk. A number of laboratory studies have shown that curcumin seems to be able to kill cancer cells and prevent more from growing.

It has the best effects on breast cancer, bowel cancer, stomach cancer, and skin cancer cells. And many studies indicate that curcumin may be able to destroy multi-drug resistant cancer and cancer stem cells, and also protect against radiation-induced damage.

Curcumin is a Natural Anti-Inflammatory Compound

What’s more, curcumin appears to help reduce unhealthy levels of inflammation, protect against heavy metal toxicity, lower heart disease risk, and even prevent Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. In fact, high turmeric consumption is widely believed to be the most critical reason behind India having one of the world’s lowest rates of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Turmeric Dramatically Increases The Antioxidant Capacity of The Body. Anti-ageing is the result!

Oxidative damage is believed to be one of the mechanisms behind aging and many diseases. It involves free radicals, highly reactive molecules with unpaired electrons. Free radicals tend to react with important organic substances, such as fatty acids, proteins or DNA. The main reason antioxidants are so beneficial, is that they protect our bodies from free radicals.

Curcumin Boosts Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor, Linked to Improved Brain Function and a Lower Risk of Brain Diseases

How much do you need? That’s hard to know. Research has shown that there are low rates of certain types of cancer in countries where people eat 100 to 200 mg a day of curcumin over long periods of time. The daily intake of curcumin in India is thought to be about 125 mg. To get that much, you need to consume about a teaspoon of turmeric powder daily or you may want to consider taking a curcumin supplement.

Curcumin Leads to Various Improvements That Should Lower Your Risk of Heart Disease

Perhaps the main benefit of curcumin when it comes to heart disease, is improving the function of the endothelium, which is the lining of the blood vessels.

Studies Show That Curcumin Has Incredible Benefits Against Depression

Enjoy Turmeric Turmeric seems to have minimal toxicity and tremendous benefits. It’s a flavorful addition to sauces, curries, stir-fries, and casseroles. But you’ll get better curcumin absorption if you combine turmeric with some black pepper and a bit of (healthy) fat. Enjoy this spice in as many ways as you can!

Curcuma flower!

I recommend a book written by Doctor Hiromi Shinya, who pioneered modern colonoscopic techniques, and invented the electrosurgical polypectomy snare now common on colonoscopes, allowing for removal of colon polyps without invasive surgery, „The Rejuvenation Enzyme: Reverse Ageing, Revitalize Cells, Restore Vigor„. But, actually, all his books are very interesting!

And, as a final advise about the turmeric, I use it also for cosmetic purposes:

Reduction Of Skin Pigmentation And Skin Tanning

How to use:

„To remove skin tanning and pigmentation, apply a mixture of turmeric powder and lemon or cucumber juice on the affected area for 20-30 minutes and wash off with plain water. This should be done regularly for beneficial results.”

But there are various ways to use it as a beauty product for centuries. It is an inexpensive and natural way of treating several skin problems and getting a flawless skin. So, just read about it and enjoy it!! xoxo
